University of Waikato College – Scholarships Terms & Conditions
Overview: This document contains important information about the University of Waikato College Scholarships/Bursaries (“Scholarships”/”Bursaries”) offered by Navitas NZ Limited (“Navitas”). Navitas offers a limited number of Scholarships/Bursaries to Eligible International Students who confirm their place on one of Navitas’ programmes commencing between October 2024 and July 2025. The Scholarships/Bursaries are a discretionary contribution by Navitas towards the advertised tuition fee for the Eligible Programmes stated at Schedule 1 and Schedule 2.

Eligibility: To receive the Scholarship or the Bursaries, the Eligible International Student must have accepted an unconditional offer from University of Waikato College (Navitas) to study an eligible programme or have been notified by Navitas that all conditions on a conditional offer have been satisfied, such that the offer is now unconditional.
Important Notes
- There is no guarantee that you will be offered a Scholarship/Bursary.
- Scholarships/Bursaries are limited and will only be offered to eligible International Students once an unconditional offer is made on an eligible programme.
- Scholarship/Bursary amounts may vary depending on the nationality of the Eligible International Student.
- All Scholarship/Bursary amounts will be applied in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
- The University of Waikato College Scholarships/Bursary will be credited against your tuition fee for your first trimester or if already paid in full, against your next tuition fee invoice. If you have paid in full for all remaining periods of study with Navitas, you can apply for a refund by contacting student services at the College.
- The Scholarship/Bursary will not be refunded to you, should you wish to withdraw your acceptance of an offer.
- Navitas reserves the right to decline a Scholarship/Bursary for any student at their discretion.
Schedule 1 University of Waikato College International Scholarship
Up to NZD 2,500 Scholarship for the following Eligible Programmes available at the University of Waikato College:
- Foundation Studies (Standard)
- International Diploma (Business)
- International Diploma (Computer Science)
- Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation – Pre-Masters
Schedule 2 University of Waikato College English Pathway Bursary
10% tuition fee bursary for the first block of the following Eligible Programmes available at the University of Waikato College when the student progresses to a pre-degree programme provided by the College:
- Certificate of Attainment in English Language (CAEL)
- Certificate of Attainment in Academic English (CAAE)
